Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Shine Resunga Development Bank and Nabil Bank have bagged the award for Best Bank at the 4th ICC Emerging Asia Banking Conclave & Awards – 2026, organized by the prestigious Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in India.
KATHMANDU: Shine Resunga Development Bank has won the ‘Best Development Bank’ award in the development bank category. The bank has been awarded in three categories – ‘Best Performance on Profitability’ and ‘Best Performance on Growth’.
Likewise, Nabil Bank received ‘Best Bank’ award in the commercial bank category.
Banks and financial institutions from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand competed for the award. The participating organizations were evaluated on the basis of financial health, corporate governance, business expansion, profit, innovation, customer service and overall performance.
To make the award selection process fair and credible, an independent jury comprising experts from Price WaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has been formed.
Established in 1925, the Indian Chamber of Commerce is one of the prestigious organizations promoting trade, investment and financial cooperation in South Asia. The organization has been honoring the best institutions in the banking and financial sector in various categories every year.
The international recognition achieved by Shine Resunga and Nabil Bank this year is seen as an important achievement in establishing the credibility and competitiveness of Nepal’s banking sector in the international arena.
