Kathmandu. Global IME Bank’s employees have said that their attention has been drawn towards the issue of employees committed suicide due to pressure from the bank. Issuing a statement, the association expressed concern over the issue.
Just a few days ago, Pitambar Khadka, an employee of Global IME Bank, had posted a status of the bank’s senior officials saying that they killed him.
Paying tribute to the demise of Khadka, the association has reminded that the incident has shocked the entire banking and financial sector and also drew the attention of all concerned to the unforeseen incident and its possible impact along with the immense pressure faced by the employees working in the banks and financial institutions.
Not only this, the association has also expressed serious concern that the banks and financial institutions have been giving more importance to business profit than the health and life of the employees.
