Kathmandu. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) Devendra Raman Khanal has been embroiled in a controversy.
Khanal has been dragged into controversy by accusing ICANN of trying to evade action by donating money in the name of donation to the bank, which had filed a complaint against auditor Prakash Lamsal and Devendra Raman Khanal for violating the code of ethics.
ICANN has been dragged into controversy for initiating the complaint against both the auditor and CEO of the Rastriya Banijya Bank for the main sponsorship of the bank.
The government has demanded action against Khanal and Prakash Lamsal, the regulatory body, after it came to light that the audit of Rastriya Banijya Bank was carried out by a relative of CEO Devendra Raman Khanal.
There is a demand to take action against them for working in a way to defame the auditing profession.
However, the employees of ICAN have said that there is little possibility of action as the executive director of ICAN is a former employee of the bank.
