NRB has assets worth Rs 4.44 trillion, paid-up capital of Rs 5 billion.

Kathmandu. Nepal RastraBank has published the interim balance sheet statement for the end of September 2083. According to the interim balance sheet statement released by the Rastra Bank, the total assets of the Rastra Bank have crossed Rs 4.44 trillion.

At the end of the last fiscal year, the total assetsof the bank stood at Rs 3.874 trillion at the end ofthe last fiscal year. According to this statement, the share of foreign currency in the total assets ofthe bank is the largest. As of mid-August, the foreign currency assets in thebank { have reached Rs 3.899 trillion.

Similarly, the investment in foreign securities was Rs 2.743 trillion, fixed deposits in foreign banks and fixed deposits in banks amounted to Rs 639.74 billion, goldcertificates amounted to Rs 2.53 billion, cash andbank deposits amounted to Rs 244.30 billion andIMFdeposits amounted to Rs 18.44 billion.

The bank’s local currency assets stood at Rs 144.29 billion as of mid-August. The total investment in gold and silver is Rs 91.67 billion, investment in government bonds is Rs 11.64 billion, and investment in debentures and fixed deposits is Rs 12.40 billion.

The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs5 billion while the reserve fund of the bank has increased from Rs 1085.73 billion to Rs 1110.20 billion as of mid-August 2019.
