Kathmandu. Ganesh Pokharel, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Citijanam International Bank, said that the current sluggishness in the banking sector should be understood as a regular and a cycle.
He said this during a meeting with CEOs of commercial banks organized by the Ministry of Finance on the implementation of the new budget and the state of financial markets.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle said that the Ministry has called for listening to the problems of the banks, taking the government’s initiatives to resolve them and to join hands to achieve the broader goal of economic growth.
Urging the banks and bankers to speak about the problems of their areas without any hesitation, he said that the government would solve the problems honestly.
