9 patients undergo free eye surgery with financial support from Shangri-La Development Bank

Kathmandu. With the financial support and facilitation of Shangri-La Development Bank, nine people of Darchula have completed cataract surgery free of cost.

Nine out of 11 people who were required to undergo cataract surgery were recently undergone at the Geta Eye Hospital, Dadeldhura, out of the 11 patients who were required to undergo cataract surgery in the free eye camp conducted at the District Hospital Darchula and Duhu Rural Municipality of Darchula on May 29, 2083 as part of the Institutional Social Responsibility of Shangrila Development Bank.

Although 11 people were taken to the hospital for surgery, two could not perform the surgery due to their health condition. In the previous two camps, more than 700 people were given free eye check-up and 487 spectacles and medicines were distributed to 600 people.

Shangrila Development Bank has been providing its services through 109 branches and 30 ATMs across the country.
