Kathmandu. Police have arrested three persons, including the then chief executive officer of Karnali Development Bank, Neeraj Bikram Shah. The then CEO of the bank, Neeraj Bikram Shah, his wife Subheksha Shrestha and the then branch manager of the bank, Deepa Thapa, were also arrested.
They were arrested from Nepalgunj on Friday for investigation into a banking fraud case, police said.
The police will investigate into the alleged irregularities in the course of banking transactions, financial transactions and documents.
After this incident, the discussion on regulation, financial governance and corporate accountability of the banking sector has started again.
