Although Sunday is a holiday, some banks have called the office on Sunday as well. Some banks have been found to have given additional remuneration according to the rules of the Rastra Bank and some have called them to work without giving additional remuneration.
As the end of July approaches, some employees of the bank have been found to be paying the installments of the borrowers by looking for money themselves.
Such cases have been found increasing especially in Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa and other places. Many bankers have said that they are compelled to do this to make the loan look good.
As the end of July approaches, the number of borrowers who have not repaid their loans has increased sharply. Bankers have complained that many borrowers have switched off their mobile phones when they are pressed to repay their loans as the end of July approaches. Borrowers also say that they do this out of compulsion and not out of compulsion.
