Kathmandu. Pokhara—Samriddhi Finance and Pokhara Finance have started their joint transactions. Samriddhi Finance and Pokhara Finance have entered into a joint venture with Pokhara Finance Limited.
Executive Director of Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department Ramu Poudel and Executive Director of Department of Financial Institutions Regulation Bishrut Thapa jointly inaugurated the program.
Immediate past chairman of Pokhara Finance, Raj Kumar Gurung, delivered the welcome speech and highlighted the need and rationality of the merger.
On the occasion, President of Nepal Microfinance Bankers’ Association Ram Bahadur Yadav, Vice President of Nepal Financial Institutions Association Rajoj Man Shrestha, President of Development Bankers Association Suyog Shrestha, President of Nepal Bankers’ Association Santosh Koirala and President of Confederation of Bank and Financial Institutions Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha also congratulated both the institutions for the merger.
Chief guests Ramu Poudel and Bishrut Thapa pledged that the regulatory body would support the financial institutions in such a move and would provide appropriate guidance to the institutions in the coming days.
Chairman of the organization Ajay Kumar Mishra expressed his commitment to establish the two institutions as a strong financial institution with strong corporate governance and thanked all who supported the merger.
