Kathmandu. Kumari Bank Limited has announced a significant expansion in the digital footprint of the bank with the formal launch of MasterCard. In a special press conference organized in Kathmandu, the bank informed that it has started issuing debit Mastercard for its customers from Thursday.
Mr. Ram Chandra Khanal, CEO of Kumari Bank, in the welcome remarks, briefed about Bank’s initiatives towards digital transformation and customer-friendly service and stated that global payment solutions like MasterCard will further enhance the bank’s service capacity.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anish Tamrakar, Chief Digital Banking Officer, Kumari Bank, elaborated on the importance of MasterCard, its usage possibilities and the direct benefits that will accrue to the customers.
He also made it clear that the debit Mastercard issued by the bank can be used at ATMs and POS accepting MasterCard in Nepal, India and Bhutan, Mastercard’s credit card service will be launched soon, and online and international payments will be made easily through Mastercard. According to him, the bank has been accepting MasterCard in its ATMs since last year and now with the issuance of its own card, it will be easier to provide customer service.
Kumari Bank has been providing easy, secure, state-of-the-art and efficient banking services through its 297 branches, 315 ATMs, 46 extension counters and 48 branchless banking units throughout the country. It has also pledged to collaborate for easy and excellent service.
