6 HSBC employees honoured with bank’s international award

Kathmandu. 6 employees of HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man have received awards. They have received various awards for their outstanding performance in the bank’s international awards program.

The bank’s recent International Wealth and Premier Banking America & Europe Performance Excellence Awards were attended by 18 employees from Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. Among them, Dean Anderson won the People Leader Award, Yvonne Hammett McDermott won the Customer Centricity Award, and Mhairi Thomsett won the ‘How We Lead Awards Simplify to Amplify’.

Candice Warman was nominated for the Premier Award and Shabazz Hamid and Simon Freire were nominated for the Wealth Award. The three-day event honored the outstanding employees of HSBC’s wealth and premier banking teams in Europe and the United States, as well as training, leadership development and networking opportunities. Consistent outstanding performance, effective leadership, and value to clients were the key criteria for the award.

Alvaro Teixeira, Head of International Wealth and Premier Banking, HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man, congratulated the winners, saying they had set an “outstanding example of customer service, leadership and performance”.

He said the strong presence of island staff at international level events also highlighted the region’s vital role in HSBC’s global network.
