Kathmandu. Lawmaker Ashika Tamang has accused the ward chairman of looting Rs 1.80 crore from the bank. She has made this allegation while writing on social media.
She said that 35 people, including the ward chairman of Galchi Master, were involved in the theft of Rs 1.8 crore by breaking the vault of the bank.
She wrote, “How can such a demean thing be done even in such a time of crisis? It has been reported that 35 people, including the ward chairman of Galchi Master, were involved in breaking the vault of the bank that was swept away in the floods and distributing Rs 1.80 crore like a vulture. I have asked the CDO and the police to immediately search and catch whoever is involved. Looting when people are crying after losing their homes due to floods? They should also be ashamed!
