Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank has said that the maximum transaction limit will not apply while distributing relief. The Rastra Bank has issued a notice stating that the maximum transaction limit will not apply while distributing relief.
In order to ease the management and relief distribution to the people affected by floods and inundations, the maximum transaction limit applicable to transactions through mobile banking, web application and e-money has been removed.
Nepal Rastra Bank’s Department of Payment Systems (FS) has issued a letter to the licensed payment service providers (PSPs).
In the letter, the Government of Nepal has been asked to make special arrangements regarding the payment system in the accounts related to the relief amount in the context of the mobilization of financial assistance through the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
