Microfinance victims go on a mass hunger strike, threaten to go on hunger strike unless their demands are met!

Kathmandu. The microfinance victims have started a hunger strike. The microfinance victims have started a mass hunger strike at Maitighar of Kathmandu demanding the implementation of the agreement reached by the government.

Their demands include scrapping the financial exploitation of borrowers by microfinance, banks and financial institutions, exorbitant and cyclical interest rates, damages under various headings and miscellaneous fees.

Maniram Gyawali, a victim of microfinance, has started a hunger strike against the directive of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), accusing microfinance institutions of exploiting the general public.
