Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Releases Financial Literacy Story Collection and Video Content

Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, consolidating its ongoing efforts to promote Financial Literacy, has launched a collection of related videos on the occasion of New Year 2083.

The collection was unveiled by Mr. Dinesh Thakali, Chief Executive Officer, NMB Bank. Stating that financial literacy is not just information, it is a behaviour change process and the stories and video content will make it more effective to reach out to the masses.

This collection of stories is a simple, interesting and informative story that deals directly related to daily life such as financial decisions, importance of saving, responsible spending, use of banking services, and financial planning. According to the bank, the collection will be distributed to various schools across the country, which will help students develop financial discipline, saving habits and responsible spending behaviours from an early age.

In addition, the bank has also made arrangements to provide a collection of stories along with Khutruke as an incentive to open ‘AlphaGrow Savings Account’ targeting its customers, which is expected to promote savings management in a practical way. The special attraction of the campaign is the digital transformation of the story collection through video production. In these videos, the financial message is presented more effectively by visually bringing the characters of the story to life.

According to the bank, the video content will transform financial literacy into an entertaining and easily understandable medium, particularly attracting children, young people and social media users. The video content related to the story collection will be released twice a week through the bank’s official social media.

Stating that financial literacy enhancement is the need of the hour, the bank has pledged to further expand such programs in the days to come. The campaign aims to promote responsible banking practices by expanding financial access at community level.
