Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest in fixed deposits of banks. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 8.88 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The amount is being invested in the fixed deposits of the banks.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged banks to offer interest rates by 12 midnight on April 5. Out of the total amount, NRB will invest Rs 7.10 billion in commercial banks, Rs 1.33 billion in national level development banks and Rs 444.4 million in national level finance companies.
According to the central bank, the investment will be for 367 days from April 16, 2026 to April 17, 2027.
