Kathmandu. Lumbini Bikas Bank has finally agreed to pay 1 percent additional tax to Lumbini Development Bank by withdrawing the case from the Inland Revenue Department, Lazimpat, Kathmandu, and the Large Taxpayers Office, Harihar Bhawan, Kathmandu. The bank has agreed to pay the tax by withdrawing the case from the Supreme Court.
Lumbini Bikas Bank is ready to pay tax after the government waived the remaining penalty after paying 1 percent tax.

7. The case filed by the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Suman Aryal raised issues related to income tax advance tax (FY 2070-71), (2071-72), (2072-73) and miscellaneous.
According to the order, Krishna Bahadur Ghimire, who was authorized on behalf of the petitioner, had filed an application seeking withdrawal of the case as the relevance of the petition had been exhausted. The court allowed the withdrawal of the case under Section 196 of the Civil Procedure Code, 2074 after it was found that he had also verified.
The Supreme Court has also ordered that the file be compiled and submitted to the Records Section as per the rules. See also:
