Jeevan Bikash has 160 branch offices in 31 districts of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces. Sudip Kumar Mandal, spokesperson of the microfinance, said that all the branch offices have organized various programs in their area of work. On the occasion of Volunteer Day, the microfinance company has reconstructed the houses of 16 extremely poor families through Shramdan. The houses of the most impoverished citizens who are unable to build houses have been reconstructed at the initiative of the branch offices.
Four branches have provided assistance to 4 extremely poor families within the jurisdiction of the branch. Chautari has been constructed at 2 places. 5 branches have done market cleaning and tree plantation. The branch offices have done cleaning and tree plantation of public buildings, playground cleaning and tree plantation program, food assistance to old age homes, tree plantation in Eco Village, and cleaning of police office at one place.
People’s representatives, Three Zero Club, Navabihani Group, employees of microfinance, local civil society leaders and members of microfinance participated in the social programs organized by Jeevan Bikas. In 2072 B.S., Jeevan Bikas had announced Volunteer Day by donating labor. Sanjay Kumar Mandal, Chief Executive Officer of Jeevan Bikas Microfinance, said that since 2073 BS, Jeevan Bikas has been celebrating Volunteer Day continuously to develop the spirit of Shramdaan in the community.
