Kathmandu. Garima Bikas Bank has provided assistance to the areas affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River. The bank has announced a total of Rs 1,01,11,111 for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the floods on behalf of the bank and all its employees.
The bank has deposited Rs 16,20,550 and Rs 3,490,561 in cash from the bank to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Rescue and Relief Fund for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the floods.
In addition, the Development Bank has committed to provide additional Rs 50 lakh directly to the program related to education, health and rehabilitation of citizens in the affected areas from the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund in coordination with the local bodies. Garima Bikas Bank has expressed heartfelt condolences to all the citizens who lost their lives in this unimaginable natural disaster and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
Likewise, wishing for the speedy recovery and safe rehabilitation of all the injured and affected people, the President expressed confidence that the efforts of relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction would be made more effective through cooperation among the affected citizens, local communities, government bodies, security agencies, non-governmental organizations and all stakeholders during this difficult time.
