Kathmandu. Guru Prasad Poudel, Executive Director and Spokesperson of Nepal Rastra Bank, said that an asset management company will be established for the management of non-banking assets of banks and financial institutions.
Speaking at a programme on ‘Decoding Modern Banking for Economic Journalists’ organized by the Federation of Economic Journalists of Nepal in association with Nabil Bank, Poudel said this while addressing a programme on Sunday.
He said that the property management company is hopeful that it will come this year as the government has set a deadline.
He also said that the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has been emphasizing on lending to the small sector in recent times. According to him, the banks and financial institutions will disburse loans up to Rs 10 lakh in small sectors after evaluating themselves.
