Kathmandu. A woman has been arrested in connection with a banking fraud case. The arrested is 37-year-old Radhika Basnet of Dolakha.
Basnet has been charged with banking offences, police said. According to the police, the District Police Range, Kathmandu has claimed Rs 1.86 million in two cases of banking offense, Rs 1.73 million in three cases of banking fraud in Police Circle, Bouddha, Rs 20,000 in one case of banking fraud in Police Circle, Gaushala, Rs 500,000 in one case of banking fraud in Police Circle, Singha Durbar and Rs 19.25 million in two cases of foreign employment at the Department of Foreign Employment Tahachal.
A team from Kathmandu Crime Investigation Office arrested her from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6 in course of a search by the District Court, Babarmahal, on the charge of banking offense.
Police said that further investigation and necessary action is underway by taking him into custody.
