Kathmandu. President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masato Kanda has arrived in Kathmandu on an official visit. He informed about his arrival through social media ‘X’.
After arriving in Nepal, he reiterated ADB’s commitment to continue supporting Nepal’s development, transformation and long-term economic growth. “ADB will continue to support infrastructure development to create jobs and expand new economic opportunities,” reads the statement.
ADB is one of Nepal’s major development partners. Currently, ADB has invested in various development projects worth USD 3.9 billion.
During the visit, he said that he would discuss the development priorities to be set by the new government in Nepal. He said that he was eager to participate in high-level talks in this regard.
He also expressed his confidence that the cooperation and partnership between Nepal and ADB for the past 6 decades would be further strengthened in the days to come.
