Kathmandu. Narendra Dev Adhikari, who is working as the assistant manager of Sunrise Bank, has filed a writ petition against Sunrise Bank. The writ petition filed by Adhikari against Sunrise Bank’s central office, Gairidhara, Kathmandu, Suman Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Kanchan Joshi, head of the human resources department and the board of directors.
A division bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Bal Krishna Dhakal of the Supreme Court (SC) has decided not to hear the case.
The officer had filed a writ petition against Sunrise Bank on Chaitra 4, 2008. In this case, sometimes a show cause order was issued and sometimes an order was issued to submit it for a full hearing.
Earlier, the case was not heard on May 16, 2029, August 1, 2081, April 15, 2082 and September 25, 2083. Now the next hearing of the writ petition is scheduled for November 26, 2008.
A criminal case has been filed against the then CEO of Sunrise Bank, Suman Sharma, who is now the CEO of Prabhu Bank. A criminal case has been filed against him by the police over loan approval, mortgage management and loan disbursement.
The police have filed a charge sheet against him and four others in the Parsa District Court on charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust. It is learnt that Suman Sharma, the CEO of Prabhu Bank, has absconded after the arrest warrant was issued. He absconded after an arrest warrant was issued against four others, including Suman Sharma, on charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust.
