Kathmandu. Two persons have been arrested in connection with a banking fraud case. Two people have been slapped with a fine of Rs 15.41 lakh.
The arrested have been identified as Dipak Bhattarai of Khotang and Irfan Dewan of Sarlahi.
A police team deputed from the District Police Range, Lalitpur arrested them acting on a tip-off and presented them before the court for execution of the verdict.
Bhattarai was sentenced to 12 days in jail and a fine of Rs 1,261,000 while Dewan was sentenced to five days in jail and a fine of Rs 2.80 lakh.
