Kathmandu. NIC Asia Bank has contributed to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Relief Fund. The bank has donated Rs 2.21 crore.
The government has donated Rs 20 million under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Rs 2.1 million collected from its directors and employees to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMLR) for the purpose of rescuing and distributing relief to those affected by the massive floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district.
The bank’s Chairman Ashok Kumar Agrawal and CEO Sujit Kumar Shakya jointly handed over the cheque to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on August 26.
The bank has provided the amount to provide relief to Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other areas due to the unimaginable flood in the Bhotekoshi River on the morning of August 26. nic
