Govt unveils budget of Rs 2.124 trillion

Kathmandu. The government has presented a budget of Rs 2.124 trillion. Finance Minister Dr. According to Swarnim Wagle, Rs 431 billion will be allocated for capital expenditure and Rs 422 billion will be allocated for financial management.

Also, the CEO and Board of Directors will be fined guilty of committing financial crime if the banks work overtime without their consent and do not pay for it. The government has made this provision through the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84.

Finance Minister Dr. Presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84, Swarnim Wagle said that a ‘fintech marketplace’ will be established under the supervision of the Nepal Rastra Bank.

The government has also announced to establish a ‘National Asset Management Company’ within mid-January for the efficient management of bad loans and non-banking assets that are becoming challenging in the banking sector. Full Text
