Kathmandu. Today, September 23, is a public holiday. However, it has been found that banks are operating even on holidays. Some banks have issued notices stating that their branch offices are open.
RASUWA: Essential banking services have come into operation even during public holidays in order to facilitate financial transactions for relief and rescue of the people affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa district.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed the banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to provide essential banking services during the holidays.
