Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited has been honored with the ‘Best Bank Award’ 2026 by the prestigious international financial magazine ‘Global Finance’. The bank has been honored with the Best Bank Award of Global Finance Magazine for the third consecutive year.
Global IME Bank received the Global Finance Award in the same category for the year 2024 and 2025. The award was handed over to the Deputy Chief Executive Officers of the bank, Suman Pokharel and Deep Chandra Regmi, by the representatives of Global Finance in a special ceremony held in Bangkok, Thailand. Global Finance has awarded the bank based on its ability to mobilize financial resources, institutional credibility, expansion of geographical and digital reach, strategic business partnerships, customer-friendly innovations, successful use of cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable credit flow and strong risk management.
Major financial institutions from all over the world, including the Asia-Pacific region, were also awarded at the ceremony. Among them, Bank of China (Hong Kong), State Bank of India, ICBC (China), Global IME Bank (Nepal), UOB Malaysia (Malaysia), Citibank (Bangladesh), MUFG Bank (Japan) and other internationally renowned banks were honored in various categories.
