Kathmandu. Interaction on interagency cooperation, coordination and feedback has been concluded. An interaction program on cooperation, coordination and feedback between the agencies related to regulation and supervision, law enforcement and prosecution for promoting financial good governance was held in Kathmandu on September 20. <\/p>\n
Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel presided over the program and Attorney General Dr. Narayan Dutta Kandel was the chief guest of the program organized by Nepal Rastra Bank. Governor Poudel said that financial governance is a matter of common concern of all agencies including the Rastra Bank. He said that such interactions are important as there can be differences in understanding from agency to agency on the same issue. <\/p>\n
Stating that access to the state power is ultimately linked to the control and ownership of the resources within the country, Governor Poudel stressed the need for the state agencies to be alert so that the resources do not reach the hands of wrong people or institutions. He expressed the view that the ‘approach of the entire government mechanism’ should be adopted for this and after determining such a common direction, each agency would be automatically active within its working area. <\/p>\n
Addressing the program, Attorney General Dr. Narayan Dutta Kandel said that the process of studying and amending the problems and reforms seen in the existing laws has been forwarded at the ministry level. <\/p>\n
Also present on the occasion were Deputy Attorney General Sanjeev Raj Regmi and Lokraj Parajuli, Secretary of the Government of Nepal and Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority Chandra Kala Poudel, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Deputy Governors Kiran Pandit and Dirgha Bahadur Rawal, Chief of the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police, Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, high officials and representatives of regulatory, investigative and prosecution bodies. <\/p>\n
