Kathmandu. Agriculture Development Bank Limited has donated food items worth Rs 10 lakh to the flood-affected families. <\/p>\n
According to the bank, rice, lentils, oil, salt, biscuits, beaten rice, dalmoth, noodles, lentils, chickpeas, roasted grains and drinking water were handed over to the government’s official collection center. <\/p>\n
The food items were handed over by the departmental head of the marketing and sales department of the bank, Bina Sharma. The event was attended by the bank’s senior branch chief Maheshwor Marhattha, senior branch officer Geeta Nepal Sharma, business officer Maniraj Dhungana and office assistant Babita Aryal. <\/p>\n
Earlier, the bank said it had already donated Rs 30 million to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMKRF) for the relief and rescue of the people affected by floods and natural disasters. <\/p>\n
According to the bank, the relief assistance has been provided as part of its social responsibility as floods have caused loss of life and property in different parts of the country and a large number of citizens have been affected. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the bank has appealed to the organizations and individuals in the country and abroad to help in the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the people affected by the disaster through the government’s official relief fund. The bank has also made public a bank account and QR code to help in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. <\/p>\n
Stating that collaboration among government agencies, organisations and citizens was essential to provide support to the affected people during the time of disaster, the bank pledged to continue providing humanitarian assistance as part of its social responsibility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
