The victims have complained that they have been suffering economic, social and mental agony under the open sky with the help of umbrellas and tents. <\/p>\n
For a long time, they have been raising their voice against the loans taken from microfinance institutions, high interest rates, pressure to extort money and the alleged injustice done to them. <\/p>\n
However, they allege that there has been no effective initiative from the state side despite drawing attention time and again. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the talks team formed by the Ministry of Finance and the Microfinance Victims’ Struggle Committee are to hold talks again today. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle had formed a committee to hold talks with the agitating microfinance victims. Issuing a ministerial decision on Thursday, he formed a talk team under the convenorship of Joint Secretary Mahesh Acharya at the Ministry of Finance. <\/p>\n
