According to the data released by the Nepal Rastra Bank, 20 commercial banks have spent a total of Rs 55.13 billion in the current fiscal year. <\/p>\n
Compared to the same period of 2081-82, the expenditure of banks has increased by 3.76 percent. In the same period of the previous year, the banks had spent Rs 53.13 billion on salaries and allowances. <\/p>\n
Rastriya Banijya Bank was the largest spender in the review period while Citizens Bank was ahead in terms of spending growth. Compared to the previous year, the expenses of 15 banks have increased while the expenses of five banks have decreased. One bank’s expenses have remained stable. <\/p>\n
Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has spent Rs 4.54 billion in salary allowances of its employees till mid-June of the current fiscal year. In the same period of the previous year, the bank spent Rs 3.89 billion. Compared to the previous year, such expenses of the bank increased by 16.59 percent. <\/p>\n
