Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released its annual monetary policy report for the fiscal year 2082\/83 BS. The report states that Nepal’s domestic economy is gradually on the path of improvement despite the political tensions and uncertainties seen in the global economy. <\/p>\n
According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, consumer inflation in Nepal remained under control in the review period. According to the report, the average consumer price inflation was limited to 2.66 percent during the period. <\/p>\n
Similarly, the external sector is also in a strong position, according to the NRB. According to the report, the country’s foreign exchange reserves are becoming stronger and the current reserve is capable of sustaining the import of goods and services for 19.2 months. <\/p>\n
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has concluded that Nepal’s external sector is stable and the macroeconomic indicators are moving in positive direction despite uncertainties seen in the global market, geopolitical tensions and economic challenges. <\/p>\n
The monetary policy review also pointed out that the improvement in financial sector indicators is in line with the objective of reviving economic activity while maintaining price stability.
