KATHMANDU: Nepal Bankers&#8217; Association (NBA) has urged the Finance Committee to take effective initiatives from the government to curb rumours spreading mistrust in the banking system and inciting the public to &#8216;not repay loans&#8217;. <\/p>\n<p>Presenting its suggestions in the committee, the association said that the activities encouraging loan defaulters through social media and various means have weakened the financial discipline, confused the borrowers who regularly repay loans and affected the credibility of the entire banking system. <\/p>\n<p>The bankers&#8217; association has urged the government to take necessary steps to curb such misinformation and rumours by increasing coordination among law enforcement agencies, regulators and stakeholders in the country. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
