Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The exhibition of student-made projects related to artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, software and digital innovation kicked off in Kathmandu on Friday. <\/p>\n
More than 55 student projects are on display at the Presidential Innovista 2.0, 2026, organized by the Presidential Graduate School affiliated with Westcliffe University in the US. <\/p>\n
According to the college, about 170 student-involved projects will be put on display in the Tech and Business Carnival that will be held from June 24 to 12. The program aims to unleash students’ innovation, digital creativity, and future skills, connecting them with industry, investors, and startup opportunities. <\/p>\n
This year’s Innovista focuses on five key technology areas. Projects related to various genres such as computer vision and artificial intelligence, IoT and robotics, cyber village, software and technology are on display. <\/p>\n
Among the major projects at the expo are FPV drones that shower flowers, Robo Soccers, Dancing robot and an AI-detective facial expression detection system that will recommend music. Likewise, cybersecurity projects related to online fraud, data leak and bank account security are also on display. <\/p>\n
The event also featured smart irrigation system, smart home system with automatic alarm in case of gas leak, tourism promotion software and a vehicle remotely controlled with 360 degree camera. The project seeks to connect the use of technology to daily life, security, agriculture, tourism and business. <\/p>\n
According to Laxman KC, founder and president of the Presidential Graduate School, the projects prepared by the students are not only for exhibition but are also linked to the market and commercial potential. “Our aim is to convey the message that such innovations are possible in Nepal as well,” KC said. Now, we will focus on linking such projects with industry, investors and market. \u2019<\/p>\n
According to him, the school’s business incubation center will help to commercialize potential projects. The college plans to create a collaboration between IT and business students to market, invest and prepare the project for startups. <\/p>\n
More than 34 students from various colleges who have recently completed Plus Two will also showcase their innovations in the Technology Pavilion. They developed a project under the mentorship of Presidential Graduate School students for a week. The winner of this category will be awarded a prize of up to one lakh rupees. <\/p>\n
The program is targeted at Plus Two graduates, undergraduate students, IT enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, investors and those who are seeking a career in technology. Entry to the exhibition is free for technical learning, networking and a glimpse into future education. <\/p>\n
Kalpana Gurung, Director and Principal of Presidential Graduate School, said, “Innovista is not only a platform to showcase creativity in students but also to connect them with future opportunities. <\/p>\n
The goal is to prepare students for international educational opportunities, employment and entrepreneurship through collaboration with Westcliffe University, credit transfer facility, skill-up department and industry. <\/p>\n
“This event will be held every year. “Our aim is to connect students with employment and startup opportunities by inviting entrepreneurs and investors,” said Gurung. \u2019<\/p>\n
Currently, there are about 1400 students studying in the Presidential Graduate School. The school has more than 90 professors and 45 management staff. <\/p>\n
