Kathmandu.\u00a0The government has banned strikes in 25 essential services including banking and insurance. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

According to a notice published in the Nepal Gazette by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the strike has been prohibited in 25 essential services by exercising the powers given by Clause 3 (1) of the Essential Services Operation Act, 2014. <\/p>\n

25 essential services that the government has prohibited from striking <\/strong><\/p>\n

}<\/p>\n

1. Postal, telegraph or telephone service <\/p>\n

2. Transportation services that transport passengers or goods by sea, land or<\/p>\n

air.<\/p>\n

3. Services relating to the maintenance, operation or maintenance of an airport or aircraft<\/p>\n

4. Cargo at the airport, railway station or government warehouse <\/p>\n

Services related to transportation or storage, retrieval or storage<\/p>\n

5. Print or Government Printing Services <\/p>\n

6. Any service relating to the production, storage and distribution of arms, ammunition or any other military equipment <\/p>\n

of the Government of Nepal.<\/p>\n

7. Communication Service<\/p>\n

8. Services related to internal security work<\/p>\n

9. Operation and distribution of drinking water <\/p>\n

10. Tourism accommodations, motels, hotels, restaurants and resort services<\/p>\n

11. Services related to import, transportation, storage and distribution of petroleum products (including LP gas) <\/p>\n

12. Services related to the operation of hospitals and health centers (services such as ambulances)<\/p>\n

13. Services related to the manufacture and sale of medicines <\/p>\n

14. Services related to waste collection, transportation, processing, disposal, site construction, infrastructure construction and collection site and<\/p>\n

management<\/p>\n

15. Banking Service<\/p>\n

16. Insurance services<\/p>\n

17. Electrical Service<\/p>\n

18. Services related to import, transportation, storage and distribution of daily consumables (foodgrains, pulses, rice, salt, oil) <\/p>\n

19. Weather Forecasting, Flood Forecasting and Forecasting Service <\/p>\n

20. Mask Service<\/p>\n

21. Hand sanitizer services<\/p>\n

22. Veterinary Service<\/p>\n

23. Services provided by the Department of Consular Services<\/p>\n

24. Services provided by the Department of Passport<\/p>\n
