According to Guru TAG_OPEN_p_8 Prasad Poudel, spokesperson of the Nepal Rastra Bank, the exchange process will not be forwarded without a notice or recommendation to explain the reason behind the burning of the notes. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, the banknotes that have been burnt by fire, eaten by insects, soaked in water, torn or otherwise invalid can be exchanged as per the ‘Nepal Rastra Bank Note Replacement Recruitment Regulations, 2059’. Such notes will have to be exchanged by submitting a claim to the Nepal Rastra Bank. <\/p>\n
However, the NRB has made it clear that the design has been erased, less than fifty percent of the part remains, and the notes that are highly deformed or unrecognizable cannot be exchanged. <\/p>\n
